College Forward believes that everyone who wants to go to college can go to college. We help students and parents choose the school that is the best fit for them, providing guidance throughout the whole process.
Each College Forward high school student is paired with a College Access Coach who offers fun, personalized support and resources. In addition, College Forward offers parent support workshops to help families understand how to prepare for, apply for, and afford college — even if they have limited resources or are going through the process for the first time.
Having just graduated themselves, College Forward coaches know the ins and outs of getting into and succeeding in college. Students accepted into the program receive:
- Comprehensive information about college and college life
- Guidance on college selection, application, admission, financial assistance, enrollment, and staying in college
- Essay workshops and practice college entrance exams
- Opportunities to visit colleges and interact with college students and professors
Where We Are:
How To Join:
Current high school students who wish to earn a degree are invited to apply if they:
- Are juniors attending one of our supported high school campuses
- Are in the top 60% of their high school class
- Either qualify for the National School Lunch Program or will be part of the first generation of their family to graduate from college
Students who do not meet these exact requirements may seek special nomination by a high school counselor or teacher. Please contact email@example.com for more information.
College Forward students are required to attend twice-weekly after-school classes (about three hours per week), participate in occasional evening or weekend workshops, and perform 20 hours of community service each year of high school.
Through our College Completion program, we empower students to reach their ultimate academic goal – a college degree. All College Forward collegians receive:
- A dedicated, recently-graduated College Forward Coach
- Personalized, on-demand support — on campus, or by phone, text, or social media
- On-campus mentorship from like-minded students
- Hundreds of hours of college coaching and support, at no cost to students or families
Together, students and coaches work through any problems and questions. Our Coaches are dedicated to simplifying the process, providing perspective, and helping students stay focused on success.
Who Can Participate?
The Completion Program is available to all participants in our Access Program upon acceptance to a college or university, and will be available to them as long as they are enrolled and working towards a degree. Coaches will help College Forward high school students transition into the College Completion Program.
If you currently attend one of our supported colleges, but were not a participant in our Access Program during high school, you may still apply for College Forward support. To find out more about requirements and how to apply, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
In collaboration with colleges and universities, College Forward helps institutions build and implement student coaching programs that increase retention, persistence, and graduation.

We invite universities, school districts, and community-based organizations who desire to positively — and profoundly — affect student outcomes to discuss Success Partner opportunities with us.
All College Forward programs are powered by CoPilot, our industry-leading student information system that gives coaches and staff a 360-degree perspective on the academic, financial, and social well-being of our students.
Though College Forward built CoPilot for our own use in 2010, we are now making the system available to nonprofits and education institutions across the world. With CoPilot, users are empowered with cloud-based technology that equips them with real-time analytics that prevent students from falling through the cracks. The system is infinitely customizable to meet the unique needs of our partner organizations.
In 2014-2015, CoPilot enhanced data collection and program delivery for nine partner organizations across the country, serving more than 20,000 students. Today, over 30 college success programs in 17 states (and 2 countries!) benefit from the CoPilot system, impacting over 150,000 students.
Implementing CoPilot revolutionized our student support services, and we are excited to see these programs share in that revolution.
