Colleges Discover the Rural Student
A recent New York Times article examines the unique challenges of rural students, featuring the voices of students from across the nation and words from CoFo CEO Austin Buchan.
Rural students remain less likely to enroll in college, less likely to attend four-year colleges, and more likely to “under-match” when selecting schools — making support and guidance critical in these regions. College Forward is proud to serve over 1800 students at our partner sites in rural West and East Texas, and to help draw attention to this important issue.
