Exploring HBCUs & HSIs

Are you looking to find a welcoming, inclusive college or university but don’t know where to begin? Or, are you searching for a unique, empowering college experience? Join us for a special event on Thursday, October 22nd as we explore HBCUs & HSIs! As part of our continued virtual services, College Forward will be hosting a webinar, Exploring HBCUs & HSIs, that will be open to all students and parents. HBCUs, or Historically Black Colleges and Universities, are institutions of higher learning in the United States that primarily serve and educate the African-American community.

HSIs, or Hispanic-Serving Institutions, are accredited, public or private, not-for-profit institutions of higher education with 25% or more undergraduate Hispanic enrollment. These two Minority-Serving Institutions play a large role in higher education across the county and offer students a unique college experience. Please come learn more about the history, modern context, and student perspectives on these schools, and hear from CoFo coaches and recent alumni.
