Carl Searles has over twenty years of accounting experience within nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including seven years owning his own firm. He has served as Vice-President of Corporate Relations for the National Association of Black Accountants and has been involved with the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Austin Chapter of Certified Public Accountants. His proudest endeavor, however, has been that of father and husband. Carl came to College Forward as its first Controller, overseeing the financial aid and operational management and internal controls of the organization through effective and efficient system design, development, maintenance, and reporting. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA.
