Sarah Cook

Program Specialist, Access Curriculum & Training

Sarah currently serves as the Curriculum and Training Specialist for our Access Program. She graduated from Rice University with a double major in Literature and Latin American Studies and focused on Social Emotional Learning and Trauma Informed Education during her Masters in Education from the University of Leicester. Although she has not been an AmeriCorps member (yet!), she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic, staying on as a volunteer leader for two years to lead trainings, build curriculum, and support volunteers. She also has six years of experience teaching a wide range of subjects and age groups, her favorite being a middle school class called Monsters from Around the World. When she’s not planning her next travel adventure, Sarah enjoys making crafts for her friends, thinking up puns and dancing.
